Highgate Cemetery, Highgate
Apart from the Highgate Vampire, or indeed maybe connected, there is supposed to be the ghost of a "Mad" Grey Woman in the newest part of the cemetery. She is said to wander around the grave stones looking for her children.

Re: Highgate Cemetery, Highgate
By “newest part of the cemetery” it must be presumed you are referring to the Eastern Cemetery containing the Karl Marx memorial on the other side and further down Swains Lane? It nonetheless remains very much a Victorian graveyard.
Is it possible to provide some form of reference for “the ghost of a ‘Mad’ Grey Woman”? Where did you first hear about it?
Re: Highgate Cemetery, Highgate
Hi Vamp Researcher, I just came across a mention of this ghost on the Paranormal Database. I am unsure where they found their reference to it.

The anonymous comment is absent of reference to a resource and therefore joins the many others that are of no value.

That is a bit harsh Vampire Researcher. At the very least it is a lead which may be used to help track down the original source. With luck some other forum posters may have heard of this Mad Woman and can help shed light on it.
Re: Highgate Cemetery, Highgate
But the original source WAS tracked down by the founding president of the Vampire Research Society. Moreover, it was tracked down and successfully exorcised, as recorded in countless documentary films, television programmes, broadcast interviews and a plethora of books, not least of all “The Highgate Vampire” by Seán Manchester. Here is a link to him giving a concise account of the exorcism on the Discovery channel (available on DVD as “True Horror: Vampires”):
