St Ninian’s Well, Brisco
‘Miss Losh*, who will be long remembered in this county for her works of piety and love, extended her protecting care to St. Ninian’s Well at Brisco, erecting over it a semicircular arch, and cutting upon it a characteristic inscription.’ [The Legendary Lore of the Holy Wells of England by Robert Charles Hope (1893)]
*Sarah Losh (Born 1785–Died 29 March 1853) was an architect and designer who had the well head rebuilt between 1830 – 1840. The inscription is no longer visible.
