Kirton-in-Lindsey Shagged Foal

A manifestation supposed to be a shagged-foal was seen near Kirton-in-Lindsey in a donkey-like form some fifty or fifty-five years ago [i.e. about 1842-7]. — Antiquary, vol. xxxiil, p. 75. [Examples of Printed Folk-lore Concerning Lincolnshire by Eliza Gutch, Mabel Peacock (1908)]
