I remember hearing this account of a haunting in the mid 90s. It was possibly featured on Strange but True but I’ve had trouble tracking down the details subsequently. From what I can remember a family moves in to a Tudor period cottage and soon after start experiencing bumps in the night. The focus of the haunting is the family computer on which strange messages begin to appear in 16th century style English. I think there was even typed communication between the man of the house and spirit with messages appearing on the screen even when the computer was switched off. Additional messages would appear scrawled onto walls. An expert was brought in and concluded that the language used in these messages was used accurately and could have only been written by an individual with knowledge of the language of the period. Despite this I have the feeling the scenario was exposed as a hoax some years later.
