I have something that I still to this day cannot figure out…I’ve told my friends who say I saw a ghost, but I don’t know.
My parents and I were visiting my aunt who lives near some fishing lakes in Somerset, my dad decided to go fishing.
My parents and I were visiting my aunt who lives near some fishing lakes in Somerset, my dad decided to go fishing.
Later in the day, my mum and I decided to go and see how he was getting on. The lakes aren’t too far from my aunt’s house – about 20-30 minutes down a straight country lane. Anyway we were going along, my mum pushing my wheelchair down the lane.
After a few minutes I see a motorbike heading our way at some speed, I could hear no engine but I put that down to the distance it was at the time. I look away for a few minutes to talk to my mum and when I turn back I see no motorbike anywhere. There were no side roads for it to go down, so if it was going anywhere it HAD to pass us but it never did.
I said to my mum "hey mum, where did that motorbike go?" and she answered with "What motorbike?"
I was freaked out the rest of the day

I should mention that this only happened a few years ago (around when I was 18 I think?)
I do have epilepsy as well…would this have contributed?

Intreresting experience Rob and really difficult to comment upon without personally checking out the area where you saw the motorbike. It’s always better to look for any other possible natural explanations before assuming it was a ghost though. He may have stopped, turned around and went back without passing you.

That’s entirely possible I suppose Ian… though I only looked away for 2 minutes and so you would have thought I’d have seen him go – at least in the distance. Also what really gets me is the fact that my mum never seen it at all. She was looking ahead the whole time, pushing my wheelchair…that’s what freaked me out most…
I don’t know. =P
Thought I’d share anyway.

Your absolutely right to be freaked out Rob and in my experience that is usually how people see ghosts. They notice something that seems totally natural then suddenly realise that it isn’t and it dawns on them it must be something else. It woul dbe interesting to know if your aunt knows of any other reported experiences in that area.
