Vampire of Venice – skull found

Vampire of Venice – skull found

just watched this BBC video report on a skull discovered in Italy that had a brick in her mouth – this might suggest that she was considered a vampire.

I’d never heard of putting a brick in the mouth of a corpse – has anyone else heard about this?

Haunting Myths

Haunting Myths

Is it fair to say that there are some myths about the origins of ghosts and how they appear?  Such as ghosts glow in the dark.  They only come out at night.  They won’t appear if you don’t believe.  I was wondering whether we can come up with a list of them and discuss whether they are really myths or whether there is evidence to support them.

Hi folks!

Hi folks!

Just thought I’d wave hello and introduce myself!
I’m a forty year old single female living in Peeblesshire in the Scottish Borders. I’ve always been fascinated by the unexplained, and love blethering to folk about various theories!
I’ll be wading my way through the posts here in the next couple of days, and hopefully one day I’ll be able to contribute!

Monstrous River Snake in Thames!

Monstrous River Snake in Thames!

Can it be?
In this photograph, you can supposedly see a monstrous giant snake swimming in the Thames river in London at summertime. The picture is confirmed as real and you can even see how a boat maneuvers to avoid contact with the giant animal. The picture was taken from a helicopter and the image is partially cropped to include the river more but less of the surrounding city.
