Staircases, Bedrooms, Corridors? Are These Most Haunted?
I have been giving some thought to as to where hauntings tend to be reported in buildings and just off memory, I would suggest that many seem to be centred around staircases, bedrooms and corridors. I cannot think of as many bathroom, toilet, pantry or kitchen ghosts. Do you agree and if so, why do you think this is the case?

Statistically these are high traffic areas or in the case of bedrooms a location you spend a significant amount of time in. You would be more likely to see soemthing in them becuase you are in them more often.

Staircases and corridors probably have a high amount of energy as they are high traffic areas. Energy pathways are laid down and so replay of sound and spirit is more likely here.
Bedrooms are often places of sanctuary where important discussions take place away from other family members. The nature of these discussions can release high stress levels or energy levels. They are also a place where family members are nursed in times of illness, either short term or long term. Another release of anxiety and stress that may be laid down in a form of energy pathway. They are also a place where we spend a period of sleep consisting of many hours.
So corridors, staircases and bedrooms are high in probability to sense some form of energy, either replay or communicative.

I could not agree with you more Darkfaery,staircases are also a link between the NederWorld
and the World of light.I do believe that the enormous amounts of Photographs showing
Paranormal activity on Staircases does prove a point and would be valid to what you are discussing.

I think I’ll stick with my theory which boils down to: ‘because people are in them more often.’
