The Wheatsheaf, Walsall
The Wheatsheaf is a very old hostelry and was certainly recorded as trading in 1801. A great deal of paranormal activity has reputedly taken place here including the banging of doors and footsteps heard in the bar area after the pub is closed late at night. Footsteps have also been heard on the stairs.
Poltergeist type activity has also been reported here including customer’s drinks getting moved. Shattered glass from framed pictures has been found on a bedroom floor and on one occasion a carefully folded skirt from the bedroom upstairs was discovered draped over one of the tills in the bar. A figure has also been seen walking through the pub. He was dressed in what one of the regulars thought was an RAF uniform.
