The Dartford Crossing which consists of two tunnels and a bridge takes the A282 over the River Thames as part of London’s M25 orbital ring road linking Dartford with Thurrock. The first tunnel opened in 1963, the second in 1980 and the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge in 1991.
According to ‘Some Notes on the Road from London to Canterbury in the Middle Ages’ (1898) Edited by Henry Littlehales ‘The ancient house at the corner of the lane on the left a few yards before we reach the church*, is thus mentioned in Mr, Dunkin’s history : —

The Royal Victoria & Bull Hotel on High Street in Dartford is Grade II Listed and dates from 1703. Originally it was a large coaching inn on the London to Canterbury and Dover road.
In ‘The Haunted Homes and Family Traditions of Great Britain’ (1897), John Ingram quotes Mr. T. Westwood and a piece that appeared in Notes and Queries on the subject of "Ghosts and Haunted Houses".
Mark Killiner mentioned the potential haunting of Friday Hill House in an article dated 29 August 2005 which appeared in the East London and West Essex Guardian Series, ‘Five years ago [2000] the Guardian reported on former local woman Mavis Fisher’s efforts to find out more about the ghostly

Strange Mitcham by James Clark was first published as a booklet in 2002 as part of ASSAP’s (Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena) Project Albion. It was updated and republished in 2011 giving James the opportunity to add a few more articles and further information.
The following story by Lauren May entitled ‘Paranormal experts weigh in on dark figure mystery’ appeared in the Epsom Guardian 8 March 2012 and concerns a strange experience reported by multiple witnesses that took place on Valentines Day.

Sarah Siddons on North Wharf Road opened opened in 1961 as a secondary school for girls from Regent’s Park and Bellfield Schools. Part of North Westminster Community School since 1980, the Paranormal Database website suggests that it was haunted by the ghost of the Welsh actress, Sarah Siddons (Born 5 July 1755 – Died 8 June 1831) wearing a blue dress and a small hat.
